BEN Maguire has joined the CarCliq team as the company’s new managing director.
With 15 years’ experience in the motor trade including AutoTrader and more recently CAP Automotive, Ben is a highly experienced and well respected member of the industry.
Antony Lewis, founder of CarCliq, a website which offers buyers deals on new and used cars from local approved car dealers, said: ‘Ben’s extensive knowledge of both the automotive sector and the digital media landscape is undisputed.
‘He brings with him a wealth of contacts from dealers, manufacturers and suppliers.
‘CarCliq has recently developed and launched a revamped website resulting in significant forward momentum. We are delighted to welcome Ben as part of the team and believe his appointment will be a pivotal point in the continued growth of the company.’
Maguire spent more than seven years at AutoTrader with roles in product, sales and manufacturer relationships before moving to CAP Automotive in 2013 to head up a new consumer and digital media area of the business.
Discussing his new role at CarCliq, he said: ‘It’s great to join the team at the start of an exciting journey. Make no mistake, there is a lot of hard work ahead of us but the foundations in place are really strong.
‘The passion shown not only for the business but also the industry and putting dealers as well as consumers at the heart of what we do feels like the perfect balance.’
