First Mitsubishi Buy Online customer collects new vehicle – three weeks after ordering by smartphone

Time 4 years ago

THE first Mitsubishi Buy Online customer has taken delivery of his new vehicle – three weeks after ordering it on his smartphone while on a coffee break.

Antony Deane bought his ASX 3 – the first new car he has ever bought – via Mitsubishi Buy Online after noticing the new web-based buying portal on the Mitsubishi Motors in the UK website.

Having all the information he needed immediately to hand, he decided to place his order there and then, completing the purchase under 20 minutes.

The 43-year-old was then able to chat online with the dedicated Mitsubishi Buy Online support team to determine the delivery of his Mitsubishi ASX – collecting his Orient Red compact SUV from Grosvenor Garage in Tunbridge Wells just three weeks later. Home delivery is also an option.

In addition, he took advantage of the option to part-exchange his existing car via the trade-in valuation service offered by Mitsubishi Buy Online, dropping his previous car off at Grosvenor Garage and driving away in his ASX.

The father-of-four from Crawley said: ‘I knew I wanted the Mitsubishi ASX and when I saw that I could actually buy it through the website, I decided to save time and go via Mitsubishi Buy Online. It did feel a little strange at first, as one minute I was having a coffee and the next I was buying a car on my phone, but it was all very straightforward and really well explained.

‘Buying a new Mitsubishi is a very big thing for me, it’s the first new car I’ve bought in 25 years of driving and the whole experience was brilliant throughout. Other than uploading some documentation, I completed everything on my phone, and if I had a question, the Mitsubishi Buy Online team were a fantastic help.’

Lance Bradley, managing director of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, said: ‘We’re delighted that the first Mitsubishi Buy Online customer has taken delivery of his new Mitsubishi. Mr Deane’s decision to use our new online buying facility and his experience throughout his purchase epitomise why we invested in Mitsubishi Buy Online.

‘An ever-increasing amount of car buyers are considering purchasing their next new vehicle online, and giving our customers the option to do this, in addition to providing them with a traditional dealer network, is essential in making their Mitsubishi experience the very best it can be.’
