Harratts expands network

Time 8:54 am, February 9, 2012

FAMILY owned and run Harratts motor group has announced it is expanding its network of Nissan franchises by opening in Pontefract.

Harratts, which currently operates Nissan Wakefield and Nissan Sheffield, announced the news as latest statistics show the car manufacturer’s models are out-selling rivals in the competitive automotive industry.

The franchise, located on Front Street, which will officially open this week, will ensure that local residents are able to capitalise on deals on some of the UK’s best selling cars.

Car giant Renault-Nissan boasted record sales in 2011 and expects 2012 to further underline its market dominance.

Dealer principal of the new franchise will be John Cairns, who oversees multiple dealerships within the Harratts Group and has a proven track record of growing successful franchises from a standing start.

Cairns said: ‘We’re delighted to announce our latest Nissan franchise, which brings our total to three across the group.

‘Nissan is a fantastic manufacturer and we’re sure that these models coupled with our award-winning customer service will make this franchise very popular indeed with residents from Pontefract and beyond.

‘We will also continue to be an authorised repairer for Renault, meaning that motorists driving either Renault or Nissan can be assured of our fantastic servicing and aftersales care. We look forward to welcoming the public to our latest Harratts franchise.’
