Hendy to open new ‘state-of-the-art’ Transit Centre and new MG Motors dealership

Hendy Group is consolidating its commercial vehicle operations in Crawley, Horsham and Redhill into a new state-of-the-art Gatwick Transit Centre.

The new Transit Centre will replace the current Ford car dealership in Manor Royal, and the Ford franchise will move to another site on the estate.

Here there will also be a new MG franchise too, a first in West Sussex for Hendy.


Chief executive Paul Hendy has said the new Transit will enable Hendy to for commercial vehicles, and it’s location will be crucial for the London market, while MG’s new models will be vital for the business’ growth in the area. 

He said: ‘The emergence of MG’s strong electric portfolio will add significant value to the area as the demand for electric vehicles grows, as well as growing our representation with this exciting, emerging brand.

‘These changes have been in the planning for some time,” said Paul. “We are now pleased to be in a position to implement these changes which present a strong opportunity for Hendy to grow our car and commercial sales and aftersales in this area and we look forward to the opportunities these changes represent.’
