Innovation of the Year – Car Dealer Power Awards 2020

Online advertising needs to be placed where your customers can be found – and most of them will be surfing Facebook at one point or another.

That’s why Facebook Marketplace – the online advertising solution – was highlighted for its true innovation by the Car Dealer readers this year.

The social media site is taking car listings ever more seriously as it looks to increase its offering to car dealers – and our readers have noticed.

They love the huge scale the platform offers and the fact it is free to advertise their cars.

Albert Simsensohn, Head of Commerce Partnerships, EMEA Facebook, told Car Dealer: ‘We are very excited that Facebook Marketplace has been recognised as the Product Innovation of the Year at the Car Dealer Power Awards, and has also been shortlisted as one of the leading online platforms for used car sales.

‘Along with our Marketplace Partners, we remain committed to supporting dealers in the UK and beyond – providing tools and resources to help them connect more easily with people looking to buy cars.’

Dealers have to go through a partner to set them up on the platform and send their stock through to Facebook Marketplace.

These partners in the UK include 67 Degrees, GForces, Autoweb Design, eBay Motors Group and many others. The full list can be found here.

The other option is to contact Facebook directly who work with dealer groups, marketing agencies and software providers to help facilitate the feeds.
