Lookers’ David is named Motability Specialist of the Year

Time 8:31 am, May 16, 2018

DAVID Vaughn from Lookers Ford Leeds has been named Motability’s Specialist of the Year.

Vaughn, pictured right, received his trophy at the Lookers Excellence Awards, which took place in Monaco with 350 attendees.

The Motability Scheme Dealer Awards recognise the support that retailers provide to Motability customers, rewarding good practice and exemplary service across the UK. There are awards up for grabs in nine categories, with dealers being judged on how they deliver the Motability scheme to their customers, whose feedback is assessed for the results.

These awards were for 2017, during which a number of quarterly, regional prizes were handed out, with those winners automatically eligible for the national award.

Vaughn said: ‘Being recognised for my work for the Motability scheme was hugely rewarding and being in Monaco for the Lookers Excellence Awards was the dream place to receive my award.

‘The Motability scheme is something I feel passionate about as it helps so many people in so many ways.’

Peter Wilson, general manager of dealer relations at Motability Operations, said: ‘We are really impressed with the achievements of all our winners, including David Vaughn and Lookers Ford.

‘It’s great to see the high level of service delivered by our dealer network and we are pleased to present the latest Motability Scheme Dealer Awards. The annual awards allow us to thank dealers for providing consistently positive customer service, highlighting those who are doing it well and encouraging others to do the same.

‘It is testament to the high standards, warm welcome and expert knowledge of Lookers Ford Leeds that they have been recognised as a winning dealership.’

Paul Bentley, pictured left, retail operations director at Lookers, added: ‘We are thrilled to win a national Motability Scheme Dealer Award and to represent the high standards of the Motability scheme.

‘Our entire team is really proud to have been recognised for our work with the scheme in 2017, and we especially would like to congratulate David and thank him for the hard work and professionalism he has shown in this area.’
