THE revitalised MG brand is continuing to grow its dealer network, with five new partners signing up, bringing the marque’s total to 81.
MG Motor UK is looking to have a presence on 120 sites by 2020 as part of a strong network expansion plan, which is a key, prioritised strategy as they strive for a bigger market share.
Crayford & Abbs Ltd, based in Bodham, Norfolk, was founded in 2004 and has an existing franchise with Nissan.
In Wales, Merthyr Tydfil’s Thomas & Davies will add the marque to its portfolio alongside Citroen, while Jermyn & Sons takes on MG in addition to its pre-existing Ford Service franchise in Seaford, East Sussex.
McMillan Motors take on MG as its sole franchise in Greenock, Scotland, and FG Barnes has added MG to its Canterbury site, joining the likes of Vauxhall, Seat and various FCA brands on the list of manufacturers represented by the dealer group across numerous sites in the south.
Daniel Gregorious, head of sales & marketing at MG Motor UK, commented: ‘We’re absolutely delighted to welcome five new dealerships to the MG network. Each of them brings their own unique strengths but they all share a common interest in selling plenty of cars and putting the customer at the heart of everything they do. I’m certain that our five new dealers will successfully introduce our value-for-money cars, long warranties and great finance offers to their local communities.’
With a new MG3 arriving in September and new dealerships being proactively sought on the marque’s website, things look positive for the brand first established in 1924.
