MOTORPOINT is aiming to hit the right note with its sponsorship of St Pat Rocks in Birmingham.
The independent car retailer is backing the open-air one-day music event at the Custard Factory as part of its continuing support for the St Patrick’s Day Festival. Irish folk singer-songwriter Finbar Furey will headline St Pat Rocks, which runs throughout the day and into the early evening this coming Sunday.
The annual festival in Birmingham is the third biggest of its type in the world and sees Digbeth turned into a sea of green, as upwards of 90,000 people line the St Patrick’s Day Parade route to watch the dozens of floats plus marching bands and entertainers from across the city. The parade has taken place every year in Digbeth since 1996.
John Forster, general manager of Motorpoint Birmingham, said: ‘As a long-standing supporter of the St Patrick’s Day Festival, Motorpoint is delighted to be sponsoring this year’s St Pat Rocks and we are all looking forward to seeing Finbar Furey on stage next weekend, bringing the 2019 St Patrick’s Day Festival to a fitting finale.’
