motorscoukMOTORS.co.uk has launched a new Facebook application which features a competition for users.

The Motors.co.uk Facebook application, named ‘Me and My Motor’ invites users to upload fun stories about them and their car to win an iPad2.

Phill Jones, the firm’s commercial director said: ‘We have launched the new Motors.co.uk Facebook app with a competition to attract users to share their emotions attached to cars.

‘The car is a purchase which has great significance to all of us, often attached to milestones in our lives. Our ‘Me and My Motor’ concept is designed to celebrate these feelings of car owners.

It’s clear that many businesses are using Facebook as a means for building brand engagement with customers. We recently interviewed over 1,000 people and 37 per cent said they used social media as part of their car buying process – often through asking advice of friends to aide their purchase decision.

‘We have integrated our used car search onto our Facebook page to provide people with the option to search whilst interacting with other car owners’ stories.’
