A BRAND new Mitsubishi dealership is set to open in the Wales later this month.
Specialist Cars, based in the Welsh town of Aberdare on the Cwmbach Industrial Estate, will start its new partnership with Mitsubishi on November 19.
The new site covers a large area within the Rhondda Cynon Taf Valleys, from Aberdare in the south, to Builth Wells in the north, Llandovery in the west and Abergavenny in the east, and could also see the firm take on five new staff members over the coming months.
Dealer principal, Phillip Putterill, has been in the business for 45 years and after deciding last year that retirement wasn’t for him, he is keen to start his new challenge.
Putterill said: ‘I tried retirement but frankly I was completely bored at home. I have been in the motor trade all my life and I’m looking forward to this new venture with Mitsubishi in Aberdare.’
Owner, Gerry Pacitti, said: ‘Having served the people of this area for 20 years we have built up a loyal following and we are sure Mitsubishi will do well here.
‘We are very excited to be in partnership with Mitsubishi and we feel sure that it will be a huge benefit to ourselves, Mitsubishi and our very large customer base with such an outstanding product to offer.’
Managing director of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, Lance Bradley, added: ‘We are delighted to welcome Specialist Cars to the Mitsubishi family. The dealership is already well integrated into the local community and we are very happy to have them on board.’
