Our MX-5 back up for sale

Time 9:01 am, November 10, 2010

mazda11MAZDA MX-5 auction, scene one, part two… and this time let’s hope we get a bidder that sticks with it!

The second of our Mazdas – being sold as part of our attempt to turn £0 into a Porsche 911 in aid of BEN – went back up for sale on eBay last night.

It was listed on the auction website last week, but ended with no bids – one bidder removed their offer of £995 after four days. Which was annoying.

Anyway, you may remember we sold the first via Twitter to PR Suzanne Tennant for £1,600, which was a great result for the charity. We’re hoping for a similar amount for the second but, what with the weather turning, it’s unlikely we’ll get near that.

Despite last week’s auction receiving more than 1,000 views no one snapped it up so to stir interest we’ve lowered the starting price from £995 to £495 in the hope that’ll get the bids flowing.

We’ve got to get this one shifted soon and move on to the next step in our quest – so fingers crossed this new start price does the job.
