Renault Retail’s new MD

Time 7:52 am, January 22, 2013

RENAULT RETAIL GROUP have appointed a new managing director – Len Curran.

Curran, who replaces Stuart Walker after 32 years of service at the firm, will head up the retail group’s Renault and Nissan sites – including those that involve the newly launched Dacia brand.

Previously, Curran had roles at Unipart and Fiat, as well as obtaining the title of manager for commercial operations at Renault back in 2001. He joins after a two year period with Renault in India, where he held the position of vice president for the firm’s sales and marketing arm.

‘I’m excited to be taking on this latest challenge within the Renault Group,’ he commented. ‘Renault has taken tough and courageous decisions in order to weather the effects the economy had on the UK car market.

‘Thanks to this, we now enter 2013 with a new brand in Dacia, the stunning New Clio as well as a range of electric vehicles and Europe’s leading van range. We’ve got a great team at RRG, a great manufacturer team at Renault and a product line up that is outstanding in terms of design, quality and value. I am looking forward to the challenge of 2013 with enthusiasm and optimism.’
