New Seat retailer

Time 8:12 pm, October 20, 2011

paul-johnsonSEAT is strengthening its presence in the north east with the appointment of a new retail partner.

Eastern Western Group – Scotland’s largest privately-owned car retailer – will open its first Seat franchise in Benton, Newcastle, at the end of November.

Trading as Western Seat, the new outlet on Bellway Industrial Estate will boast a state-of-the-art six-car showroom where all the latest models in the Spanish maker’s range will be displayed.

Meanwhile, the generous forecourt – which boasts ample customer parking and dedicated disabled spaces – will allow the dealership to offer a fantastic range of quality Seat Approved pre-owned models.

And a hi-tech six-bay workshop fitted with all the latest maintenance and diagnostic equipment will ensure the dealership can offer the highest standards of aftersales care.

What’s more, staff at the dealership are currently undergoing extensive training on site and at Seat’s National Learning Centre with a view to offering unparalleled customer care.

Paul Johnson, general manager (pictured) at Western Newcastle – which remains a Saab dealer and was recently appointed an authorised Ford Service Centre – said: ‘This is a tremendously exciting time to be involved with the Seat brand and we can’t wait to get started.

‘2011 has been Seat’s best ever year in the UK with the company taking a record share of the market while other manufacturers struggled. And with a raft of new models, including the exciting Mii city car, just around the corner 2012 looks sure to be even better.

‘But the product is only part of the story at any dealership and we recognise that the quality of the care and service we offer our customers will be the most important ingredient in our success.

‘To that end our aim is to offer all of our customers – old and new – the very best experience of the Seat brand alongside the quality customer service and values on which Western Newcastle and its family-owned parent the Eastern Western Group has been built.’
