SEAT UK have appointed a new director – Neil Williamson.

Williamson will fill the gap left by current director Peter Wyhinny, who will be taking up the director position for Seat Italy after working for the company’s UK arm for more than six years.

Williamson joins Seat UK from Mercedes-Benz – previously the managing director of the luxury brand’s retail group. Previous to that, Williamson had worked in senior sales and marketing roles for Nissan, both in the UK and abroad.

‘I’m delighted to welcome Neil to the Group,’ said Volkswagen Group managing director Simon Thomas.

‘He will bring significant dealer and manufacturer experience to SEAT UK, to continue the growth started by Peter Wyhinny. I would like to congratulate Peter on his new role and thank him for achieving record sales and market share for SEAT UK.’
