Suzuki opens showroom in Canterbury

Time 10:54 am, December 14, 2015

SUZUKI (GB) PLC has opened a showroom in Canterbury, taking the number of dealers in Kent to five and the vehicle manufacturer’s nationwide network to 155.

Run by the Furneaux family-owned Kap Motor Group, which has been in the county for 60 years, the Ashford Road site houses the whole Suzuki model line-up.

The unveiling followed an upgrade of the existing standalone premises, which now boast a contemporary and airy hospitality lounge with refreshments. Visitors also have access to an on-site bodyshop, and servicing bays for routine maintenance, repairs and MOTs. Staff include a Motability specialist.

Dale Wyatt, sales and marketing director at Suzuki (GB) PLC, said: ‘We would like to welcome the Kap Motor Group to the Suzuki retail network. They will prove a valuable addition as we continue to grow our geographical coverage across the UK.

‘Kent has always been an important region for the brand in terms of sales volume. It is therefore essential that we make buying a Suzuki even easier and more accessible for local customers, as we look forward to the arrival of the Baleno hatchback and other great value products in the coming year.’

Garry Furneaux, dealer principal of the Kap Motor Group, added: ‘We are delighted to be representing Suzuki in Canterbury, and the franchise is the perfect fit to meet the increasing demand from drivers in the surrounding area for affordable, economical and stylish cars. This a very exciting time for the Kap Motor Group.’
