DEALER group Vertu is investing several million pounds into a new Vauxhall Brand Centre in Chingford.
The new Bristol Street Motors site will offer a spacious, 560 square metre showroom stretching over a ground floor and mezzanine, and is designed to cater for 12 Vauxhall vehicles.
The site will offer employment for 75 staff and carbon reduction initiatives include easily accessible EV charging bays whilst twenty percent of the energy used on site will be covered by on-site generated renewable energy.
The foundation was laid in the presence of Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu Motors, and Duncan Aldred, managing director of Vauxhall Motors, who jointly cut the first sod in the development of the new Bristol Street Motors retail site.
Forrester said: ‘We are delighted to extend our partnership with Vauxhall through the development of the Chingford dealership. This investment demonstrates our confidence in this partnership and the Bristol Street Motors business model and our commitment to investing in local economies and creating full-time sustainable employment opportunities.’
Aldred added: ‘We are very pleased to extend our partnership with Bristol Street Motors by jointly developing a new Vauxhall Brand Centre in Chingford.
