Warranty Provider of the Year – Car Dealer Power Awards 2020

Time 2:52 pm, September 28, 2020

Warrantywise has built up a reputation of being the UK’s most trusted extended warranty provider, selling more than 100,000 of them a year.

Quentin Willson himself has helped design the product to ensure the Blackburn-based business is at the forefront of the warranties market.

Dealers face ever-increasing pressure on margins, so warranties are incredibly useful to boost their bottom line while giving customers peace of mind.

There’s plenty of hot competition out there trying to grab a slice of this very lucrative pie but our winner rose to the top thanks to some brilliant feedback from extremely happy customers.

Reacting to the news that Warrantywise had scooped the trophy, chief executive Lawrence Whittaker said: ‘It just feels really, really wonderful.

‘We’ve really made a lot of changes in the last 12 months to make the car dealer offering better, including employing a new head of sales who has absolutely transformed the way that we deal with dealers.

‘We have new people on the road who go out making sure the dealers have the absolute best support they can get backed up with the office staff, better point of sale, with dual-branded point of sale.

‘All those things seem to have come together and created a product that I think is market-leading, and we’re just so thankful to have the award and excited to put it everywhere!’

He added how much it meant to Warrantywise’s staff, knowing that it had been voted for by dealers.

He said: ‘That’s such a great thing. The fact that it’s voted for is so special to us.

‘When I was told about the award I put it on our group WhatsApp and the team was so overwhelmed, because they’ve all worked so hard.

‘To come out of Covid and have this award is such a great boost to everyone’s morale.’

Warrantywise managed to remain profitable throughout the pandemic, despite poor months in April and May.

Whittaker made the valid point that with dealerships being allowed to reopen a fortnight before other non-essential retail, people were rushing to buy a used car instead of a sofa, for example, which helped Warrantywise no end.

Meanwhile, June, July and August have been record-breaking for the company as regards the number of dealers signed up and the number of car warranties sold.
