NISSAN’S new 370Z 2-seater sports car is available to order in dealers now – with first deliveries in July.
The rear-drive 3.7-litre coupe now has a 331PS 3.7-litre V6, and is both shorter and lighter.
This should ensure the 370Z, which starts at £26,895, offers a thrilling drive – and allows Nissan dealers to fully capitalise on the huge interest generated by the mighty GT-R, too.
There are three trim levels: 370Z, GT Pack and GT Ultimate. All but the base cars get ‘Synchro Rev Control’. This matches the engine revs during changes of the manual 6-speed gearbox, for smoother and racier shifts.
It means drivers can imitate a racing driver. They can go one further with the optional 7-speed auto, too – this has steering wheel paddle shifts.
All cars get climate control, xenon lights, Bluetooth, 18-inch alloys and keyless go.
Dealers will also have an innovative upsell, in Nissan’s Scratch Shield Paint. For £450, this self-heals stone chips and light scratches!
Nissan has developed a micro-site for the new car, which include a ‘370Z Widget’. This automatically updates with news and developments prior to the July launch.
Customer feedback from dealers has seen Nissan designers answer a number of criticisms with the new 370Z, including:
• Removing the rear strut brace
• Developing a rear ‘shelf’ behind the front seats
• Developing a retractable load cover
• Adding a locking glovebox
• Increasing instrument dial size
• Introducing soft touch materials on the dashboard
• Leather and suede trim for the door panels
