Vertu has opened its first Alpine dealership after ploughing £400,000 into a new state-of-the-art facility.

The dealer group has transformed its former Honda Motorcycle showroom in Nottingham into a modern car dealership fit for the premium French brand.

The operation, on Haydn Road, sits alongside Vertu’s existing Renault Group sites, representing both Renault and Dacia.

The opening represents Vertu’s first ever Alpine dealership and is also the brand’s first showroom in the East Midlands.

The dealership will sell Alpine’s two current UK models – the electric A290 hot hatch and A390 fastback – creating a number of new jobs in the process.

Matt Reilly, general manager of Alpine Store Nottingham, said: ‘It is hugely exciting for everyone at the dealership to be involved in introducing Alpine to the region, and we are also proud to be the first Alpine Store within the Vertu Group.

‘Both the A290 and the A390 have made a real impression since being introduced to the UK market and we look forward to welcoming customers – old and new – to see what the Alpine range has to offer.’

Vertu chief executive Robert Forrester said the opening would expand the group’s relationship with Renault.

‘We are delighted to expand our relationship with Renault through the opening of our first Alpine dealership,’ he said.

‘Alpine is famous for producing some iconic models through the years, with the current line-up being particularly impressive as the brand moves into a new all-electric era.

‘We look forward to welcoming customers to our new-look Nottingham site to enjoy the full Alpine experience, and to developing a successful relationship with the brand.’
