New budget online ads

Time 12:22 pm, December 17, 2008

Car portal launches budget ad serviceMOTORS.CO.UK has launched a pay-as-you-go advertising service, to help credit-crunched car dealers.

The car advertising portal says this supports smaller independent dealers or traders in tough economic conditions.

It also comes as smaller traders turn to the internet, as a cost-effective route to used car advertising.

The Motors deal is based around the following packages:

•    5 adverts – £35
•    10 adverts – £60
•    20 adverts – £115

Once registered, dealers can use the package of adverts like a pay as you go mobile phone. There is no time limit on when they must be used.

This is ideal for traders who only sell a few cars per month.

Car dealers still have the same benefits of stock feed dealers. This includes the ability to load photographs or video. They also have full access to statistics, including the number of views each car’s received.

Katie Armitage, marketing manager for motors.co.uk said: ‘As the credit crunch continues, the launch of our new ‘pay as you go’ service is a way of supporting traders and dealers in fighting back.

‘We have made the offering incredibly flexible, enabling those who use it to control when and how often their ads run. By offering access to viewing statistics, we are allowing them to see which cars are the most popular which can help in deciding which stock to advertise.

‘Motors.co.uk is trying to do everything it can to support dealers, and help them to generate sales.’
