Dealer group Cambria is continuing its expansion with Chinese brands after confirming it will open a sixth Chery showroom later this month.

The new site will operate from Invicta Motors in Croydon, adding to the group’s growing representation of Chery in the UK.

The dealership will sit alongside Invicta’s existing Omoda, Jaecoo, Mazda, MG and Subaru franchises, further strengthening Cambria’s portfolio of established and emerging brands.

Tim Duckers, group managing director of Cambria Investments Holdings, said the performance of Chery Group’s brands in the UK had given the retailer confidence to continue investing.

He said: ‘The Chery group brands offer our customers efficient drive trains, advanced technology with long warranty periods and incredible value for money.

‘The market share they have achieved so far in 2026 demonstrates how quickly consumers are recognising the strength of the all-round proposition.

‘Opening our sixth Chery business demonstrates both our confidence in the brand and our ambition to continue growing the business.’

The latest expansion comes just weeks after Cambria strengthened its luxury car operations with the acquisition of Bentley Hampshire and McLaren New Forest from Harwoods, taking its Grange Motors division to 19 dealerships representing nine manufacturer partners.

The retailer has continued to invest heavily in both established marques and fast-growing Chinese brands since returning to private ownership in 2021.

Last month, Car Dealer reported that Cambria’s latest accounts showed pre-tax profits fell to £5.27m in the year to August 31, 2025, although bosses said the previous year’s figures had been boosted by a one-off property revaluation gain.

Directors also highlighted the rapid growth of Chinese brands as one of the biggest changes affecting the UK motor trade.
