Automotive marketplace Cazoo has launched a new AI-powered tool that summarises customer calls for dealers.
The new feature, offered free of charge to retailers using Cazoo’s Dealer Centre, aims to help dealers identify key sales opportunities and follow up with leads.
It has been developed with customer engagement platform specialist Kaisa and works by recording customer phone leads and using AI to analyse conversations.
It is able to identify topics including vehicle availability, trade-in details, mileage, condition and previous owners and also picks up discussions around deposits, finance and requested callbacks.
The software then gives dealers a summary of the conversation to help them manage follow-ups.
Thomas Orthgiess, chief product officer at Cazoo, said the tool had been developed following requests from dealer partners.
He said: ‘Our dealer partners asked us for help to stay on top of their calls, so we built this for them and made it free.
‘When every callback happens and every promise is kept, dealers sell more cars and customers get a better experience. That’s a win for everyone.’
The news comes on the same day as the results of Car Dealer’s special trust survey, held in conjunction with Cazoo.
The poll found that 68.5% of dealers think that unreasonable customer behaviour towards their staff has increased in the last year alone.

Cazoo has been separately polling consumers on trust and the results of that exclusive survey will be revealed next week.
