Jaguar Land Rover bosses ‘suspended’ over alleged nude photo sharing

Time 4:44 pm, March 3, 2017

THREE Jaguar Land Rover managers are thought to be under investigation after they allegedly shared a nude image of a female colleague on a WhatsApp group chat.

The Birmingham Mail reported that two male managers at the manufacturer’s Solihull plant were suspended while an internal investigation took place.

A third is under investigation, while an additional two men are thought to have been cleared of any wrongdoing.

The disciplinary investigation was launched following a complaint from a worker who was allegedly shown a mobile phone image of a naked co-worker. It is believed that it will look into whether the image was shared on a private WhatsApp group, and whether or not the managers exchanged messages about it.

The Birmingham Mail reported that a JLR spokesman declined to comment on the allegations.

He did, however, say: ‘We have a very strong Dignity at Work policy. The company aims to ensure that harassment is not present at work and where this behaviour exists it is effectively and fairly dealt with. Harassment includes circulating offensive material.

‘We encourage our people to report harassment wherever they see it.’
