Aston Barclay rolls out special forces-inspired well-being initiative

Time 4:13 pm, May 17, 2019

ASTON Barclay is rolling out a new employee well-being programme inspired by the mindset of special forces operatives and elite military units.

The Break-Point Prime Evolution programme – designed by Ollie Ollerton, special forces soldier and star of the hit TV show SAS: Who Dares Wins, uses military operational planning and tactical techniques to help businesses and individuals achieve their long-term goals.

The programme has been produced and designed by a team of qualified experts including fitness and wellbeing expert David Tilston and nutritionist Holly Brown.

The move coincides with the Mental Health Foundation’s Mental Health Awareness Week which takes place from May 13-19.

The theme this year is Body Image – how we think and feel about our bodies.

The first Aston Barclay site to go live with the programme was its new 18-acre Wakefield auction super centre which saw Ollie and David visit the site and work with nearly 50 members of the team.

Aston Barclay’s Group CEO, Neil Hodson, said: ‘With an increasing awareness of mental health and general wellbeing within the workplace, we are delighted to work with Ollie in bringing this employee initiative to life.

‘We have grown significantly as a business in recent years and so has our colleague headcount. As our greatest asset, it’s vital we ensure our people are in good health physically and mentally, both personally and to optimise business performance.’
