The Duo has a clever trick up its sleeve – a detachable speaker that you can take with you wherever you go. It means you can keep the main unit in your living room and, when it’s time to work on the car, you can take your tunes with you.
The satellite speaker pulls away from the base unit and a tough metal stand pops out. With the two attached together the sound is impressive – the base unit has a 20W sub-woofer with deep, crisp sound. But some of the quality is lost when you pull the two apart.
The fact that when you pull the second speaker away from the base unit, or put it back in place, playback isn’t interrupted is quite cool. The satellite speaker recharges on the base unit and can be turned off and on separately when not in use.
You get a remote control too and can control all your iPod’s functions with it.
