Monday, April 30

AUDI revealed the TT RS plus Coupe and Roadster. It will sit alongside the TT RS range, and will cost between £48,945 to £52,265. Order books are open now, delivery in the summer.

VOLKSWAGEN is giving its Polo range a spice-up with the launch of the R-Line. Only available on the 1.2-litre version, it costs from £15,195. Read more


CHRIS Marsh has been appointed after sales director for Nissan Motor GB Limited. He takes over the position from Robert Lujan – Nissan Netherlands’ new MD.

SKODA has announced a strong first quarter in 2012 with increased revenue, deliveries and production. Read more

Tuesday, May 1

ORDERING has opened for the Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet. Prices start at £29,310 for the manual version and rising to £30,610 for the DSG.


HONDA has officially started a second shift at their car plant two facility based in Swindon. Read more

NISSAN is introducing a spring health check to its dealer network. The 20-point check costs £15 and includes a Nissan care pack worth £20.

KIA Motors has announced major increases in sales volumes, revenue and profit for the first quarter of 2012. More than 600k vehicles were sold worldwide – an increase of 12.4 per cent over 2011.

Wednesday, May 2

HYUNDAI is introducing some new tempting PCP deals to its range. The i10 is available for £99 per month and the all-new i30 is available from £190 per month.

MONTAGU Private Equity LLP, one of Europe’s leading private equity firms, has reached an agreement to acquire CAP from Top Right Group. Read more

ISUZU has revealed it received 250 ‘expressions of interest’ for its new D-Max pick-up at the CV Show. That number comes on top of strong interest reported from its dealer network.

Thursday, May 3

NISSAN announces it will put its mad Juke-R into production. The car that combines a Juke with a Nissan GT-R and engineered by racing firm RML will go into limited production.

AMERICAN brand Chrysler has announced that its flagship saloon – the new 300C – will go on sale in the UK in June, with prices starting at £35,995. Read more


BMW has given its X1 range a make-over. The SUV received stylistic enhancements on the outside and inside, and the car gains two new trims. Prices start from £31,860.

FAMILY-OWNED dealer group JCT600 has announced it has made a £500k investment in its Peugeot and Seat dealership in Menston. Read more

NEW car registrations in April were up 3.3 per cent, figures from the SMMT reveal. The SMMT has now revised its forecast to 1.95m vehicles. Read more

JAGUAR Land Rover employees at Halewood Operations have celebrated the production of the 300,000th Land Rover Freelander 2.

INCREASED supply of used cars has taken the edge off used car prices in the trade, according to CAP.
