According to Peterborough Today, the store will allow its visitors to view details of new and used cars for sale on the Stoneacre forecourts as well as book a service or an MOT.

Stoneacre, which runs two showrooms at Newark Road and Forty Acre Road, is also using the shop to promote the launch of its new driving school facility.

Based in Peterborough and Doncaster, the new driving school offers free driving lessons to customers, or a member of their immediate family, who buy a new 63-plate car from Stoneacre.

One of the company’s qualified instructors will carry out the driving lessons in a Stoneacre vehicle, until the customer passes their test.

General manager, Shaun Brookhouse, told Peterborough Today: ‘This is a new venture for Stoneacre and the industry, and we have chosen to do it here in Peterborough. It is a first, but I am sure it will spread across the country wherever Stoneacre has a presence.

He added: ‘The offer entitles the purchaser, or a member of their immediate family, to free driving lessons from our driving instructor in one of our cars, not their own. And they will be given lessons for free until they pass.’
