PLANS for a new two-storey Hyundai showroom in Grimsby have been given the go-ahead.
Read Hyundai, which currently operates dealerships on Railway Street, is set to build a new two-storey dealership in Grimsby.
The new development, based at Altyre Way in Humberston, will include a workshop along with a single-storey car wash and valeting service department.
The site is based on the eastern side of Altyre Way, with a Vauxhall dealership to the north.
In a report to councillors, planning officer Richard Limmer, said: ‘The existing car showrooms have created a car sales hub on Altyre Way offering customers a wide choice of vehicles and the ability to comparison shop within a small area.’
He added: ‘The proposed development would help maintain and boost the local economy by supporting large-scale investment with the creation of additional jobs, choice to customers and a modern attractive building within the estate.’
