THE FLA’s Paul Harrison has moved to Auto Trader to become its head of finance.
Harrison, who held the position of head of motor finance at the FLA for the last six years, will join Auto Trader on November 24.
Auto Trader says the appointment ‘reinforces its position as a partner to the trade and authority on all issues that affect their success’.
Sharon Randall, Auto Trader’s sales director, said: ‘I am delighted that Paul Harrison will shortly be joining Auto Trader. It’s really important that we are able to help all our customers to win in the marketplace, in every part of their business.
‘Finance is an important element of a car retailer’s business and Paul is at the top of his game when it comes to an understanding of how current issues directly affect our customers.’
She added: ‘His appointment will ensure we are best placed to provide partnership, through insight, industry knowledge and practical support – to help them stay one step ahead.’
The new head of finance role will involve direct liaison with dealers. In addition to external communications, Harrison will liaise closely with Auto Trader legal and security teams to ensure dealer compliance with all regulatory processes and approvals.
He will also work with product teams to identify ways to help franchise, supermarkets and independents, as well as consumers.
Prior to working at the FLA, Harrison held positions in the policy team at SMMT and with Vauxhall and was a star speaker at the Car Dealer 2020 Vision Conference last June.
