hampsteadFAMILY run dealer Alan Day has raised more than £4k for breast cancer charities in a special fundraiser.

Last week, the family-owned business raised more than £4k across its four London sites, with its showrooms decked out to in pink in aid of Pink Friday to raise money for breast cancer charities.

The showrooms were dressed up in pink decorations and staff paid a donation to dress in pink costumes while selling cupcakes. Stacey Solomon also offered up signed copies of her autobiography, My Story So far, with customers paying £15 which went to Breast Cancer charities.

Managing director Paul Tanner said: ‘The pink day is something we have been involved in for three years now as we know this cancer has affected many of our staff and customers. We are all too busy thinking about everyday things and sometimes you need to stop and think about how you can help other people.

“From across all our four sites we’ve had a great response. Many customers came down and some even donated £20 for a cupcake instead of the £1.50 we had asked for because they know what a great cause this day is for.’
