Bluewater shoppers to get an early preview of Volvo’s XC60 SUV

Time 9:18 am, April 5, 2017

VOLVO’S new XC60 will go on display in a pop-up shop at Dartford’s Bluewater shopping centre ahead of its dealership debut later this year.

For a week from Saturday April 8 to Saturday April 15, the XC60 will be available for shoppers to experience the look and feel of the newest vehicle in Volvo’s range first-hand.

The car on display will be the XC60 T8 petrol-electric hybrid, in Crystal White, and will be featured at the pop-up shop on Bluewater’s lower mall next to the V90 estate and the XC90 large SUV.

With nearly a million units sold globally, the original XC60 was one of Volvo’s most successful vehicles and the new generation car will be one of its safest. A new Steer Assist system ties into other safety aids, including Oncoming Lane Mitigation and Blind Spot Indication System, to guide the vehicle away from possible impacts.

Jon Wakefield, managing director of Volvo Car UK, said: ‘The new XC60 is the latest product in Volvo’s transformation, and introduces to our best-selling SUV the premium design, advanced connectivity and pioneering safety technology already seen on the successful S90, V90 and XC90.

‘We’re delighted to be giving visitors to Bluewater such an early chance to see the car. Our pop-up shop will allow customers to explore the car in a relaxed, welcoming environment, which reflects not only the design of our products but also the overall Volvo ownership experience.’
