Vanarama appeared on Car Dealer Live today in a show packed with some fascinating insight and tales of how the business began.
CEO Andy Alderson joined host James Batchelor and discussed how he set up Autorama in 2004 and Vanarama in 2007, taking a business from zero to hero status as it’s now one of the leading names for leasing commercial vehicles and cars.
Alderson began the firm with three members of staff based in a portakabin and now has grown into a leading firm with over 250 employees.
Vanarama has won the Sunday Times 100 Best Small Company To Work For in the UK accolade in 2016, 2017 and 2018, with Alderson being named Best Leader at the 2017 awards ceremony.
In the show, Alderson and Batchelor discussed:
- How a batch of Citroen C5s led to the creation of the business
- How selling cars on the internet has changed
- Brand awareness is important but trust is key
- Lockdown and how it impacted Vanarama
- Leasing and the future
