Car Dealer Live 80: Fix Auto UK MD Ian Pugh

Time 10:00 am, August 3, 2020

The car repair business was the focus of Car Dealer Live on August 3.

Fix Auto UK managing director Ian Pugh chatted with host James Batchelor on the Car Dealer YouTube channel.

Pugh heads up the UK arm of Fix Auto World and the firm is the fastest-growing network of independently owned repair centres in the UK, with more than 100 sites.

The company repairs more than 150,000 cars every year and has contracts with some of the leading insurance companies for repair work.

Many Fix Auto franchisees also hold official vehicle manufacturer approvals.

On the show, the pair chatted about how the business started, its growth and the future but also about lockdown.

Pugh recently challenged a local authority decision to not support the repair industry with government grants and won, allowing £2.3m in retail grant aid and retail rates relief to be handed out to the industry.
