New MD for auction group

uk-first-for-big-car-auction-houseNORTHERN Ireland-based auction company Carryduff Auction Group has announced the appointment of Michael Tomalin as their new managing director.

Tomalin comes to the company with more than 23 years worth of experience, working for many auction houses including BCA and more recently as corporate sales director at SMA.

Tomalin said: ‘This is a dream role for me! There is a great vehicle infrastructure here already and our plans are to add quickly to that with some key corporate vendors.


We are planning a total overhaul of the site and its infrastructure in the coming months, with new branding for the entire group, a new website and dedicated marketing that will position us as the leading auction centre in Northern Ireland’.

Owner and chief executive Raymond Hill, said: ‘I am personally delighted to appoint Michael Tomalin. He is well respected within the vehicle auction industry and particularly in Northern Ireland due to his many years of experience and historical success.

‘Carryduff is going through a massive overhaul in terms of facilities, infrastructure and a whole lot more and Michael is the ideal person to ensure that we become Northern Ireland’s number one auction venue.’
