CDX workshop host Rob Purfield has appointed Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Laura Booth as business development associate at his firm.
Purfield will be asking ‘What’s the point of a car showroom?‘ at Car Dealer Magazine’s major event for the automotive retail industry, which is being held at Farnborough International on June 12.
And ahead of that, Rob Purfield Associates has put Booth, pictured, in charge of delivering the motor sector training and business development specialist’s growth strategy. She will also take the lead on helping clients to develop their brand communication and deliver customer propositions.
Booth, who secured £65,000 investment from Theo Paphitis for the original WedgeWelly concept, not only has years of experience of running her own businesses, she also has expertise in the high-end retail sector, where she has worked with clients to shift business perceptions and inspire growth.
‘This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a fast-paced business that is committed to helping its clients improve and grow,’ she said. ‘Having developed two successful start-up businesses and gained experience selling to, and working with, major brands like Amazon, Debenhams and QVC, I’m looking forward to helping client businesses create positive change and help with maximising the potential of their people.’
Purfield said: ‘I am delighted that Laura is joining the business. Her combination of energy, experience and expertise in helping businesses perform better is fantastic, and she will play a crucial role in helping us to develop and grow our business, along with helping our clients in their aspirations.’
Rob Purfield Associates has more than 25 years’ experience working with leading motor manufacturers, including Nissan, Opel Europe, Suzuki, Toyota, Vauxhall, Volkswagen and Volvo.
