Dealership transfer for hard-working Barry

Time 9:36 am, September 13, 2016

A JENNINGS Motor Group employee has received a second promotion, which has also resulted in a dealership transfer.

Barry Dunn, 34, from Wardley, has taken on the new role of group internet sales manager at the company’s head office in Washington, Tyne and Wear.

Part of a company restructure, Dunn is replacing the group’s previous internet sales manager, Paul Beadling, who has transferred to take on the role of franchise manager at the company’s Middlesbrough-based Mitsubishi franchise.

With 15 years’ motoring experience behind him, Barry is looking forward to the challenges ahead in his new role. He said: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for me to broaden my experience and product knowledge.’

Jennings Motor Group, which operates Ford, Ford Direct, Kia, Mazda, Seat and Mitsubishi dealerships across the region, originally set up the internet sales department as a call centre with the aim of filtering potential sales leads to individual sales managers.

In 2012, in order to meet national demand from customers making online purchases, the call centre diversified into a sales centre.

The five-strong team of internet sales executives is now responsible for securing new and used car and commercial vehicle sales over the telephone, in addition to arranging vehicle delivery.

Dunn started working for the company in 2001 when he became a sales executive at the group’s former Ford dealership in Washington and for the past eight years he has been working at the company’s Ford Direct dealership in South Shields.
