LEX Autolease and BCA will stage the UK’s first ever auction dedicated to environmentally friendly hybrid models.
The sale will feature up to 50 popular hybrid models direct from Lex Autolease. Cars such as Toyota Auris and Prius, Honda Civic, CR-Z and Insight and Lexus RX will be on offer at BCA’s Blackbushe site on December 9.Robert Sturley southern area Auction manager for Lex Autolease said: ‘As a business Lex Autolease are very aware of our responsibilities to the environment, as are our customers, and as the largest UK contract hire provider we feel we have a responsibility to develop and enhance the used car hybrid sales market.’
Alan Gupwell BCA corporate account ,anger for Lex Autolease added: ‘This sale addresses the key issue of supply affecting the hybrid market, because we typically don’t see high numbers of these cars reaching the used market.
‘It will come as no surprise to anyone involved in used cars that with continuing high fuel prices and other economic pressures, motorists are looking very carefully at the running costs of their vehicles. General demand for low emission, high MPG hybrid cars is correspondingly high, and we expect to see significant levels of buyer interest in this sale.’
