Time 5:43 pm, January 31, 2014

Imperial-Car-Supermarket-jpg-1IMPERIAL Car Supermarkets officially opens a new showroom in Millbrook, Southampton tomorrow (February 1).

The new outlet stocks around 400 quality used cars, including Audi, BMW, Ford, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Vauxhall.

And the opening of Imperial Car Supermarkets in the South Coast city has coincided with the arrival of a new landmark there, the Imperial Tower, a very visible marker for the site, lit up during the hours of darkness.

The Southampton showroom is Imperial Cars’ fourth used car ‘supersite’, the others being in Fleet, Portsmouth and Swanwick.

As part of tomorrow’s official opening, a range of special activities has been planned, with face-painting for children and cash to be won in a ‘funny pictures’ competition.

Rob Frampton, The World’s Strongest Man competitor, will be in attendance, demonstrating his strength and might with either a multi-car pull and/or some dead lifting, plus a tug of war for the children.

Tennis coach Martin Terrill will be offering advice and demonstrations. A representative from the Microlight School in Goodwood, West Sussex, will be talking about his world record altitude Ikarus flight attempt, and his next upcoming adventure which is an interactive flight to Cape Town and back. He will also be giving away 10 flying experiences.

And there’s also a hog roast if visitors to the site get peckish.
