John Mulholland Motors scoops Škoda UK’s top retailer award for third year

Time 10:02 am, March 2, 2018

JOHN Mulholland Motors took home Škoda UK’s Retailer of the Year award for the third time at the manufacturer’s annual event.

The awards, held at the Royal Albert Hall, recognised the very best of the 128 nationwide Škoda retailers across 10 categories, and the County Antrim retailer emerged victorious in recognition of its outstanding all-round business performance in 2017, having won last year and in 2014 as well.

The runners-up were Fred Rees Garages of Haverfordwest and Des Winks Škoda of Scarborough. The top spot is awarded to retailers based on consistently excellent performance throughout the year, taking into account sales, aftersales and customer satisfaction.

Staff at each UK retailer were presented with their awards by Rod McLeod, director for Škoda UK, and John French, Škoda UK’s head of sales operations.

French said: ‘The brand’s incredible performance last year is testament to the hard work of everyone involved in our retailer network. Customers recognise Škoda as a brand that offers great-quality cars at outstanding value for money, delivered and serviced by a fantastic partner network.’

The other winners were as follows:

Marketing: West End Garage (Edinburgh/Dunfermline/Stirling)

Customer Satisfaction: Howard Abraham (Lurgan)

People Excellence: D M Keith Ltd

Used Vehicle Sales: Lookers Škoda (Manchester)

Škoda Finance: Station Garage (Horsham)

Fleet Sales: Henrys (Glasgow)

Most Improved Retailer: Marshall Škoda (Croydon)

Service & Parts: Simpsons Škoda (Preston)

Sales: Mervyn Stewart Ltd (North Down)

The retailers were treated to a performance of Cirque Du Soleil’s Ovo – the new tour sponsored by Škoda Global.
