Luscombe Mitsubishi opens for business

Time 7:50 am, August 21, 2013

IMG_6157MITSUBISHI’S new dealership in Leeds has officially opened its doors for business.

Based on the site of the former Robert Bowett showroom in Low Road, Hunslet, the new dealership was officially opened by managing director Robin Luscombe and Mitsubishi Motors UK sales and marketing director Toby Marshall in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

To mark the occasion, Luscombe Mitsubishi hosted a ‘Man from Mitsubishi’ event, where a senior representative from the carmaker’s headquarters in Cirencester was authorised to sign-off deals on models across the Mitsubishi range.

This recent deal means Luscombe Motors has now purchased the entire Robert Bowett Motoring network, having previously acquired the Suzuki franchise from the company back in 2010.

Meanwhile, the addition of the Mitsubishi franchise has almost doubled the number of staff employed by the company, which now stands at 34 employees.

Managing director, Robin Luscombe, said: ‘We’ve already had a great start with Mitsubishi and I’m sure it will be a good relationship for both of us. We pride ourselves on customer service and straight talking sales staff because that’s what people want.

‘We are a small, privately-owned dealership and I know the importance of getting out of the office and meeting people face to face.

‘We’ve put ourselves on the map with this launch event and let people know we are here so there’s been a lot of curiosity from customers and it will build from there.’
