Marshall Motor Holdings has completed its purchase of Jardine Motors Group’s Volkswagen business in Aylesbury – making it the UK’s biggest VW retailer.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, now means Marshall has 15 VW car retailers and six commercial vehicle dealers.
The purchase of the Bicester Road dealership was part of the original acquisition of Volkswagen businesses from Jardine last December, as reported by Car Dealer, but was delayed because of property aspects of the asset and the lockdown.
Thirty-eight members of staff have transferred to Marshall Motor Group.
Daksh Gupta, chief executive of Marshall Motor Holdings, said: ‘This acquisition further strengthens our already excellent relationship with Volkswagen UK.
‘Aylesbury is contiguous to our existing businesses and in a market we know very well. We are absolutely delighted to welcome the team at Volkswagen Aylesbury into the Marshall family.’
Marshall’s Volkswagen Group portfolio now comprises 15 Volkswagen car dealerships, six Volkswagen commercial vehicle dealers, 12 Skoda sites, 10 Audi, three Seat, and six Trade Part Specialists (TPS).
Marshall Motor Group has 117 retailers across 23 manufacturer partners and 28 counties.
