McGurk Performance Cars expands showroom with £50,000 renovation

LEADING independent Aston Martin specialist McGurk Performance Cars has opened the doors at its new showroom after £50,000 of work that saw it nearly double in size.

Now boasting 8,000 sq ft of display area – up from 4,500 sq ft –  the repurposed showroom in Kineton, Warwickshire, which is just a few miles from the Aston Martin factory in Gaydon, displays the company’s stock of more than 40 Aston Martins and performance cars.

The family-owned business was founded in 2002 by John McGurk, who said: ‘Our new showroom provides us with the perfect space to display our ever-changing stock of cars.

‘It represents a significant investment for the business, but with our growing sales we needed a bigger area for our customers to come and view our full stock in one purpose-designed building.’

During the renovation of the historic building, it was discovered that the new showroom space was previously used to pack parachutes during the Second World War.

In the past year, the company has sold more than 150 Aston Martins and performance cars, specialising in the modern classic era from the DB7 through to the current production models.

McGurk Performance Cars – which has an eight-strong staff team and is the UK’s largest independent Aston Martin dealership – is self-funded, owning all the cars in its showroom. McGurk said: ‘We understand the importance of buying right, taking the time to find the very best cars out there, so we’re 100 per cent confident in every sale.’

Every car is fully inspected by its factory-trained technicians at its on-site service department. ‘It’s important we offer a full service for customers, from the initial sale right through to regular maintenance, as well as complete engine rebuilds and full restorations,’ added McGurk.
