MERCEDES-BENZ has extended its monthly service plan to older users.
The firm’s ‘Service Care’ package is now available on vehicles of any age, meaning that not just those under seven years old are now covered.
The package, which costs from £27 per month for a new car and £23 per month for used models, ‘ensures manufacturer-trained technicians using only Mercedes-Benz’ genuine parts are used for servicing.
Mercedes says that more than 40,000 service plans were taken out by Mercedes-Benz and Smart owners, of which 10,000 were with the purchase of a new car – an increase of ‘more than 50 per cent’ over the year before.
C-Class customers made up the majority of service plan sales at over 14,000 purchases, and the plan can be spread over a period of one to three annual services.
