mitsubishi1MITSUBISHI Motors UK boss Lance Bradley has told Car Dealer he hopes to open two more closed Southgate sites soon.

The Japanese firm saw four dealerships close when the Southgate Group went into administration last month, but Bradley is in advanced talks to open two again soon.

The former Southgate site in Bridport was recently taken over by Motorwell, and it’s likely two more will open soon.

‘We are in advanced talks with partners for Poole and Romsey sites already,’ said Bradley. ‘That would mean three out of the four former Southgate sites would be filled – and quickly too.

‘Poole could be taken over by a relatively small local dealer group and the same could happen in Romsey. It’s positive that we’ve had interest in these sites so soon and shows what people think of the Mitsubishi franchise.’
