MOTORPOINT has become the new principal sponsor for Motherwell Football Club.
The UK’s leading car supermarket has agreed to become the headline sponsor for the Scottish Premier League outfit based at Fir Park in Motherwell ahead of the 2016-17 season.
Motorpoint kicked off the partnership at its five-acre branch in Hamilton Road, Mount Vernon with star striker Louis Moult unveiling the new home kit ahead of their Scottish League Cup game against Rangers.
Adam Gilmore, general manager of Motorpoint in Glasgow, explained: ‘Motorpoint is delighted to become the official club sponsor of Motherwell Football Club.’
The Motorpoint branding will feature on the front of Motherwell Football Club’s home, away and third kits over the coming months as the club look to build on their fifth placed finish in the 2015-16 season.
Motorpoint will also be overseeing the player of the month award as well as giving away tickets to all home fixtures via social media as part of its sponsorship.
Alan Burrows, chief operating officer at Motherwell Football Club, added: ‘We’re thrilled to welcome Motorpoint as our new principal sponsor.’
Motorpoint opened its branch in Glasgow in April 2013. Since then it has gone on to sell a low-mileage, nearly-new car to every postal code area in Scotland.
