The UK’s leading car supermarket was awarded the prestigious honour for the first time ever by The Sunday Times at a special awards evening at Battersea Evolution in central London.

Motorpoint was ranked 92nd overall in the list of top 100 best mid-sized companies to work for.

The ‘best companies to work for’ concept was devised by Best Companies more than 10 years ago to recognise excellence in employee engagement.

Every year, hundreds of companies from a wide range of industries work with Best Companies to measure the level of engagement among employees via a survey.

The responses are collated and combined and only those businesses with the highest level of overall employee engagement qualify for the top 100.

Mark Carpenter, managing director of Motorpoint, said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to have made it into the top 100 best mid-sized companies to work for – at the first time of asking. It is a huge honour.

‘Even though we have just been named a top 100 mid-sized company to work for, we are already looking at areas where we can improve to not only retain our position as one of the best businesses in Britain but also make Motorpoint an even better place to work.’
