New online auction site on the way from DealerTrade

Time 4:29 pm, May 3, 2017

DEALERTRADE is launching a new online auction website, where sellers can enjoy free listings to remarket cars.

The company has already shaken up the trade-to-trade industry, where currently any dealer can sell a car to another trader for free via its website.

Now it’s introducing this new platform exclusively for franchised dealers, fleet companies and car supermarkets to sell cars to all dealers across the sector.

The new service will go live in early June, DealerTrade’s founder, Dean Miles, explained.

‘Franchised dealers, fleet companies and car supermarkets are the three categories that will be able to sell via DealerTrade Auction,’ said Miles. ‘It’s going to be 100 per cent free for people who fit into those categories to sell on the site, and we’re the only people in the whole of the motor trade doing that.

‘Not only have we revolutionised the trade-to-trade platform by providing it free of charge, we’re now going after the auction business as well with a free-to-sell offering.’

The website could well prove attractive with no seller’s fees at all.

Miles continued: ‘We’ve partnered with Independent Motor Auctions for all its experience in the auction business. Their expertise is helping us to build this online auction. It’s extremely simple for users to upload a car, and several large, recognisable names from the motor trade have committed to use the service.

‘Vendors will upload cars themselves, the vehicle stays on their premises and the winning bidder then pays the vendor. This means the person selling the car is in control the whole time. We will simply charge a nominal buyer’s fee.’
