SKODA is set to continue its model offensive with the launch of a new and updated Superb.
The Superb has undergone a comprehensive facelift on both the hatch and estate versions. The updated flagship model is due to arrive in showrooms at the end of June.
The facelift incorporates Skoda’s new design language – taking influences from new models like the Octavia and Citigo. Fuel economy has also been improved, with up to 19% fuel saving on selected engines, while the Superb still said to offer ‘class leading’ rear legroom and boot space for both variants.
These improvements, suggests Skoda, will continue to raise brand image and introduce new customers to the brand.
“The Skoda Superb offers comfort beyond the upper-middle segment,’ said Skoda CEO Winfried Vahland. ‘This means lots of room, excellent functionality, high comfort, top safety, great value for money and timeless elegance. We are always intent on offering our customers a little bit extra.’
Those used to the Superb’s ‘Simply Clever’ features won’t go wanting, either – with the model still incorporating ideas like an integrated umbrella and ‘Twindoor’ tailgates unique to the model.
The new car also incorporates a raft of clever storage options and solutions. Customers can take advantage of the addition of more metallic paint colours, a new range of alloy wheels, and – for the first time in the Superb line-up – bi-xenon headlights. An Adaptive Frontlight System (AFS) and Hill Hold Control are also now available.
