New state-of-the-art home for Brindley Volvo, Wolverhampton

Time 9:00 am, September 5, 2016

WOLVERHAMPTON’S Volvo dealership, Brindley, is to relocate to a new state-of-the-art showroom.

The move is the result of a £1m investment which will bring the company’s new car, aftersales and trade parts operations together under one roof.

The purpose-built 5,000 sq. ft. site, relocating Brindley Volvo to Stafford Road, will officially open its doors on October 3 following six months of development. The facility will have the capacity to display seven cars in the showroom, while incorporating the Volvo Retail Experience (VRE), the Swedish manufacturer’s latest corporate identity.

Brindley Wolverhampton - VRE lounge areaVRE, a global brand standard that Volvo Car UK is rolling out across its dealer network, is a new way of retailing designed to make customers feel relaxed and at ease. Focusing on space and design, Scandinavian-inspired architecture takes centre stage, both inside and out.

James Elkes, Brindley’s dealer principal, said: ‘After being greeted by your own dedicated service advisor in our brand new entrance, you will then be able to relax in our fully air-conditioned showroom, while enjoying complimentary refreshments in a comfortable lounge-style waiting area.’

The new Volvo design includes a brand new workshop environment, incorporating while-you-wait servicing and MOTs, all carried out in state-of-the-art workshop bays by teams of personal service technicians working on cars as pairs rather than individually.

This allows for work to be carried out twice as fast, nearly halving customer wait times. This is part of Volvo’s ‘personal service’, which streamlines aftersales functions to improve workshop efficiency while delivering a much more personal service to customers via dedicated service technicians.

‘We look forward to welcoming customers both new and old to our stunning showroom in just over a month’s time,’ added Elkes.
