A DORCHESTER-based car dealership has helped to spread the festive cheer by donating £100 to the children’s Echo Toy Appeal.

Proprietor of Olds Broadmayne, Alan Old, has donated the sum to the appeal, which will help provide toys for young and underprivileged children in Dorset this Christmas.

This marks the eleventh year that the dealership has given money to the Toy Appeal and Old is urging other businesses to get involved by donating £100 each.

He told the Dorset Echo: ‘This year is the 11th year I have donated £100 to the Echo Toy Appeal.

‘I think it’s an incredibly worthy cause to support and if I can help to bring some joy to local children this Christmas then it will be a real delight.

‘I believe the key focus of the appeal is to give something back at Christmas time, and would encourage other businesses to back the appeal.’
